Crazy Day!!

This week is Red Ribbon week at Mackenzie's school. So they've got an anti drug theme everyday to reinforce the overall message of the week.

Yesterday was CRAZY day... and any of Mackenzie's normal clothes would be considered crazy, I mean come on she dresses like Punky Brewster, but of course that wouldn't work! So here's what we ended up with...

Different polka dotted soccer socks, mismatched shoes, a striped shirt, and a tutu!!

Surprise!! The soccer socks are pulled up all the way to the plaid shorts hiding underneath!!

Mr Potato Head

Mackenzie has always loved Mr and Mrs Potato Head, but Dylans' recent obsession with Toy Story has made him being to love them too!! I caught this sweet moment of my kids playing together with their Potato Heads last weekend. Just blessed my heart to see these sweet moments!

Mini Cheer Clinic

Last week Mackenzie got to be a part of our local Varsity Mini Cheer Clinic. She was in heaven!! Not only did she get to be a real cheerleader but she ended up getting to be in the group of her favorite cheerleader in the world! Mackenzie LOVES Hailey to death! Every game we go to, I tell Mackenzie, Hailey can't see you or wave right now but we'll go down and see her cheer in a little bit. Everytime Hailey sees her and makes a liar out of me! Last week she saw us at almost the top row, and waved back to Mackenzie!!

Soccer Time!!

Today when we were getting ready for soccer practice I realized I still hadn't posted the pictures from last week's practice. Can you tell our schedule has gotten even crazier??

This is the first year that Mackenzie has been in any "activities"... She started soccer last week and she seems to love it! As much as we love our baby girl, she's not the most coordinated person in the world... wonder where she got that from??? :) So we were interested to see how soccer would go and if she would enjoy it. So far she seems to really like it!

One of our friends is coaching the team, and Brian is helping coach so its good to know he's there to help her learn and also to tell her to stop whining if need be. Not that it would ever happen or anything...

They started by playing Red Light Green Light while kicking the soccer ball.

Definition of Insanity

It's this girl! She's in the goofy stage! My Mom told me yesterday, "Did I forget to tell you about the goofy stage? She'll grow out of it." I inferred what she didn't say... "Eventually"

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was the day! Mackenzie's first day of Kindergarten!! It's been all she can talk about for weeks, and what this Mommy has been trying not to be upset about for weeks too!!

She was sooooo excited to go and we had to remind her to tell us bye when we got there! I asked her what her favorite thing and she said EVERYTHING!! Needless to say she can't wait to go back tomorrow!!

I'm so thankful she had such a good day and looks forward to tomorrow! Even more so I'm thankful for all my sweet precious friends who texted me and prayed for me as I got ready to drop my sweet girl off! God has blessed us beyond measure!!

Big Day

Tomorrow is a big day for this precious little girl! It's the first day of Kindergarten and has been all she can talk about for weeks!! To say she's excited is an understatement!!

Friday night Mackenzie had her first big girl sleep over, and to say the girls were excited would be just a TINY bit of an understatement!!

Being the crazy picture taking Mommy that I am, of course I had to take a picture!

Here she was all ready to go!!

She was such a big independent girl, she didn't even mention us once! Ha! It made me happy to know she was being such a big girl, but as you can imagine, it made my mommy heart, just a little bit sad at the same time. They stayed up until almost midnight and from what I heard were stirring by 6:30 the next morning. Needless to say she took a nap the next day!
