And you wonder why I call it Crazy Kennebeck Land???

Let me break it down for you like this...
  • Clean both bathrooms (including tubs).
  • Feed both kids and the patient (more on that later).
  • Put out the trash for trash day.
  • Put up 3 baskets of laundry. (Have I mentioned lately how much I HATE laundry?)
  • Put a load of towels in the dryer and another load of towels in the washer.
  • Unload and load the dishwasher.
  • Bathe both children.
  • Put Blondie to bed.
  • Feed and put Big Boy to bed.
And this was all between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. Are you tired from just reading it?? And THAT IS why I call it Crazy Kennebeck Land!

My Golfer

Last week when BK and I escaped for a few days to celebrate our anniversary Brian wanted to play golf and being the wonderfully sweet wife I am, I went along and drove the golf cart. I actually do enjoy it, some. Until the 14th hole or so and then I become BORED and ready to be done. Thank goodness for my kindle! Ha! (The peace and quiet is awesome! I had actually forgotten what it sounded like...)

So here are some pictures of that man of mine playing golf. For all I know there is something fundamentally wrong with his swing or some other golf fundamental but hey what do I know or what do I care! :)

Off the tee box

Mid Swing

Follow thru (At least I guess that's what its called in golf...)

Lining up his shot

Me lining up my shot

Chipping onto the green. (Man, I think I used that term correctly...)

My shot... Do you know how hard it is to take a shot with one hand with an SLR?

I was told to take a pic of how close his ball was to the marker... I just don't remember how far it was, but it was far. :)

Remember when I said I get bored about hole 14? Yeah...

For the record he played really good that day and ended up shooting an 82 (if I remember right...) And if it hadn't been a golf course he's only played a few times in his life he would have shaved several more shots off his score. He was hitting that good... or so he told me. Just kidding I believe everything he says all the time! (SIKE!)

Fashion Sense?

We are always a little interested to see what will emerge when we hear Mackenzie changing clothes... It sometimes matches, is consistently entertaining, and never boring! These days she is on this dress kick, so I've had to get her several new dresses that she can wear to school, and she LOVES maxi dresses but I don't let her wear them to school because its just an accident waiting to happen!

Tonight all of the sudden she runs into the kitchen when we're putting up groceries wrapped up in a blanket and says "Guess What?". I had an idea what was coming... She then flings open the blanket and is in just her panties! (Brian is a little concerned about her fondness for being naked...Ha!) I proceed to tell her to go put her clothes back on. She says "But my clothes were making me cold!" I then pointed out her clothes won't make her cold... Then it was like it clicked and she switched tactics, "My clothes were making me hot!" I proceeded to tell her again to go put clothes on.

Well we were caught off guard by what came back in the kitchen a few minutes later... It took everything I had in me not to laugh in her face when she asked for help buttoning her skirt.

When she originally came in the kitchen she was barefoot. Notice what she came back wearing...

Tinkerbell socks and brown winter shoes. (I still haven't figured out her renewed obsession with these shoes in the middle of the summertime.)

Yes that is a sweater vest with no shirt underneath...

And a blue jean skirt with tights that only match because they both have polka dots.

Fashion sense? Yes. Good fashion sense? Do I really need to answer that question?

Big Sister

Just like all parents with more than one kiddo, we hoped that Mackenzie would love her baby brother to pieces, be a big help, and not have any major jealousy issues.

Well we got lucky on all 3 accounts!!

We had a feeling after watching Mackenzie when I was pregnant that she was going to be a wonderful big sister! And after Dylan made his appearance she is such a good big sister! She's not big on holding him and never really has been (She says, "OK, I'm done. He's heavy!" And he is... Ha!) but she is ALWAYS loving on him, giving him kisses, and hugs! When she's talking to him I have to remind her that she doesn't have to get all in is face ALL the time. She can get him laughing like nobody else can! She gets him giggling so hard he won't stop and he just flings his arms and legs around because he's so excited to see her! She LOVES that she's the only one that can get him "rolling" consistently!

She's always there to give him his paci, help calm him down if he's upset, talk to him, play with him, make him giggle and even sometimes to throw away diapers (as long as they are tee-tee diapers). If she hears him crying she has to come running to try to calm him down. She comes running and says "It's me sissy! I'm here, its ok!!" And then she looks at me and says "See he was happy to see his sissy!" It's the most precious thing ever and just melts my heart! I know as he gets older she'll continue to be a big help. Even though one day I know they'll start fighting I'm enjoying these moments of sweet big sisterness (yeah its a word...)!!

Here are some pictures of them doing one of their favorite things... playing! I'm not sure how much of it is Mackenzie playing with Dylan or playing with her old baby toys. Ha! Such precious moments! We cherish every one of them!

8 years ago yesterday I married my best friend. And as cheesy as it sounds, I love him more today than I did
the day I married him. Even before I actually started dating I was praying for the man that God would one day bless me with as my husband. And as usual God blessed me beyond what I could ever ask for or imagine!!

We were 20 & 22 when we got married and had no idea of what life would hit us with in the next few years but we knew that God had given us each other and that was all that mattered. If we had God and we had each other we knew we could make it thru anything. The first year was a tough one, I was still in school and Brian was selling insurance on commission only and money was extremely hard to come by. Every time things get tight I remember back to that first year and how God provided us with an unexpected check in the mail when we had $11 in our bank account, we needed groceries, I was sick and needed medicine, and a couple of other necessities, and to top it all off Brian didn't get paid for another week. The check wasn't much but it was exactly what we needed to make it thru. One of MANY times God provided in just the right moment.

There are so many more moments of pain (Brian's Dad passing away, 3 of my grandparents having cancer, etc), trials (Financial, Job Loss, Miscarriage, etc), and relying on God (for EVERYTHING) that I could list here for you guys to read, but you get the point... Our God is good and is the only reason we have each other in the first place.

I could never have imagined the husband that God would provide for me, and even if I could change a thing I wouldn't! He is such an amazing husband and father and I can't imagine sharing my life with anyone else! He is as laid back as I am NOT laid back. (Go ahead and laugh... its the truth!) He doesn't take crap from me and doesn't let me get away with much. (One of the first reasons my Mom liked him.) We are exact opposites in every way you can imagine, honestly if I like one thing he hates it! The only exception is our faith and our morals. And guess what? That's all that matters! If we agree on the things that matter the rest of it can be dealt with... Even if he is a freak who likes mayo! YUCK!!

Brian is such an amazing and loving and Godly man and I love him more every day of our lives together! I thank God every day that He has blessed me with such a wonderful husband! I can't imagine what my life would be without him and am so thankful that we get to spend the rest of our lives together. Brian I love you with all of my heart! Thanks for asking me to be your wife! It was the second best decision I ever made!

My faves!

So I decided this morning I'd share with you my new favorite pics of my favorite two short people in the world!! Both pics melt my heart and are now on my desk at work so I can see them all day!

I mean, for realz! How can you resist hose blue eyes and that smile??

Check out my Razorback in his little jersey! (And his hair is finally starting to come back!!)

These pics replaced my old faves within the last week. So why not share those pics as well? I was totally torn between my last round of faves, so I had two fave pics of each kiddo.

One of my very first pics of Mackenzie with my new camera. It was the morning of her birthday party and she was seeing her swingset put together for the first time! I just love how she still has her "crazy hair" from getting up and is still in her pjs. The crazy hair is a total Mackenzie thing!

I took this one later that weekend on her birthday/Mother's Day. It just kills me every time!!

I love this pic of my baby boy because he's looking at me, like "Really Mom? What are you taking a picture of me for? Leave me alone so I can suck my thumb!"

This one is too cute for words... Grin. Eyelashes.
