I love Puggles!

On Wednesday nights when Brian and I are helping with Trek (5th & 6th grade Awana's) Mackenzie goes to Puggles. She LOVES Puggles and can't WAIT to go every week!! This year I love it even more because she comes home every week and we can ask her what she's learned. So far this year she has learned that God has made the trees, the flowers, the grass, the vegetables and this week the sun. It's the best feeling in the world to hear my kiddo telling me what she learned at church... that God made everything. Mine and Brian's ultimate goal as parents is to raise children who love God with all their hearts and want to do His will in their lives.

I was trying to get her to smile and look at the camera, but she'd say "Cheese" and look down immediately.

Go figure, I was trying to get her to show me her Puggles shirt.

Quality Time

This weekend Brian and I were able to get out of town and have a little quality time. We went to Fayetteville to the Razorback/Ole Miss game. Obviously we really wanted the Razorbacks to win, but I actually think its pretty funny that Houston won... He can say take that Arkansas, you treated me bad on the way out, and I came into your house and beat you. He-He-He!

Granted I was much more "ok" with the loss without the last two minutes of the game... that part was extremely painful!!

Leave it to Brian to not be serious when I'm trying to take a pic....

AWESOME PIC!

Is this an awesome pic or what?? Gotta love good luck shots!

The Egg

Today Wanda send a magical disappearing egg home with Mackie for bathtime. She actually had it yesterday but the munchkin wasn't a nice girl (can you tell we don't use the word bad in this situation?) so Wanda wasn't going to give her a treat... More power to her!

When I was trying to open it for her and right after I handed it to her she kept saying "It's about to hatch, It's about to hatch!!" It was so cute!!

The egg fizzed up and when it disappeared there was a dinosaur inside. After the dinosaur magically appeared she sweetly said "Thank you egg!" It was totally random and out of the blue and equally as precious!! :) P.S. The water is that color because of the egg not because I never clean my bathtub... Ha!

Murphy USA Family Picnic

Last weekend we had a picnic for work. The weather was perfect, the kiddos had fun, and I even got to play bingo (with a crappy card). We also had somebody there who took pics and we ended up with some REALLY cute ones of Mackenzie and some family shots too.

One of the pics is one of my new faves of all times!! Randomly enough it ended up being the "poster" for the picnic... and NO I'm no bragging!! I'm just a little biased. Ha!

My new all time favorite pic!!

Wind and crazy curly hair... never a boring combination!

The kids had a great time doing the pumpkin walk.

Of course the Mackenzie & Rylee had to hold hands!

This one just makes me giggle! We've got a better pic, but this is too cute!

Silly Sleeper

Ever since Mackenzie was little I would go check on her at naptime and she would be sleeping so silly! Usually at bedtime its just normal, but for some reason at naptime she always seems to come up with new and creative ways to go to sleep. Here are some pics of her sleeping silly... I always have to take a pic because its so funny and cute!

This was the day after we got back from Disneyworld. I went in her room to make sure she was asleep and she was sleeping with her head on her blanket and her feet on her pillow. Needless to say I didn't dare try to move her... She needed a good nap and I needed a little down time. Ha!

Sprawled out! April '07
I took this and the next pic a few days apart... not quite sure what was going on... notice in the top pic she only has one sock on too!

She's even holding on to the bumper here... this one was hilarious!!!

Dress Somebody!!!

We were in Wal-Mart over the weekend and I was looking for a cheap book for a prize, and I just happened down the aisle with all the books, and discovered a gold mine!! Mackenzie's 2 fave things these days are the Disney Princesses and stickers! I found a book where she can play dress up with all the Disney princesses with vinyl stickers. (I know we all remember having books with vinyls stickers when we were little.) It was almost $14 so I was hesitant to buy it because I'm cheap! But I thought this will be a HIT and a great entertainment investment!! Oh my goodness was I right!! She loves it!! When she's ready to do it, she comes up and says "I want to dress somebody!!" There is a sheet of outfits for each princess Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, & Snow White, and another part of a page with accessories for each princess too. She loves it and we have such a good time playing it together. It trips me out how particular she is about where the dress goes... it almost lines up perfectly! Until she decides to be silly and then she dresses Jasmine's Tiger (whose name I can't remember) in her dress and puts Ariel's dress over her face and then giggles hysterically!

So Sweet!!

Every night for the last week or so, we've had to make sure that Dora was tucked in before Mackenzie would let us tuck her in... Dora has her own little pillow that was stolen from the glider in Mackenzie's room, and of course she has to be covered up with the Dora blanket! Duh! I finally had to take a pic because I think its SO precious and sweet! Right before we leave the room she has to lean over and say "Have good dreams Dora"... when Brian tucks her in he says "Sweet Dreams". She's such a sweet little girl!! (Especially when she's asleep! Ha!)

Pumpkin Cookies

While grocery shopping today I noticed the slice and bake pumpkin cookies and I had an idea that Mackenzie and I could "make" cookies today after her nap. I thought it would be something new that we could do together and another thing to keep her entertained. Not to mention make cute memories! I was so excited and pumped her up when I was putting her down for her nap... Low and Behold she woke up in a HORRIBLE mood!! Needless to say, she was happy to help "make" cookies but not as thrilled as I expected. ANother day in the life of a 2 yr old! :)

Did I mentiod she woke up in a FOUL mood??

Yep, she's being raised right... eating raw cookie dough!!! :)

Of course she was just throwing the cookies on the tray.

This time she did a much better job placing them "gently" on the tray...

We seem to use the words "Be Gentle" ALOT these days!

The AMAZING final product. Ha!

No, I have NO idea why she was licking the cookie...

Day 6 - Dinner in Japan

Our last night at Disneyworld we had dinner at Japan with both the Rogers and the Vaclaws. It was a Bennyhanna type thing, so I wasn't sure if it would scare Mackenzie or if Brian would like the food. Well I was wrong on both accounts! The food was great and Brian loved it! Mackenzie had a blast and did AWESOME with the rigged chop sticks. She was so funny to watch just concentrating away. (She got that look from me, and I got it from Mom... its one of those family looks! Give her a little longer and her tongue will be out too.)

She was great with the chopsticks, she could even pick food up off her plate AND get it in her mouth!! She was having a great time! She even ate some shrimp for the first time.

One word.... Bubbahanna. Enough said!

Ok so not really, I have to explain this! After he cooked our dinner, our chef asked if Mitchell wanted to take a picture with him. After he took a pic he asked the girls and of course they didn't want to. All of the sudden, Brian said "Can I?" I thought I was gonna fall on the floor!! He even let Brian wear the hat like the kids. It was SO out of character and hilarious that I couldn't believe it! :) Everybody was commenting saying they weren't even sure if he'd like the place and then he was the first adult to get their picture taken. (The other Dads followed suit.)

After dinner we watched the Epcot Fireworks, the best fireworks in all the parks. Unfortunately I didn't get any good pics because Mackenzie kept calling my name while covering her ears. Guess she thought these were louder than the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Not to mention I was standing guard to keep other rude adults from busting in front of the 6 kids we were trying to make sure saw the fireworks.

Day 6 - Magic Kingdom Day 2

Well the Mackenzie and Rylee really enjoyed the 2nd day because why?? YEP THEY FINALLY GOT TO SEE THE PRINCESSES and MET MICKEY 1 on 1!! The first thing we did when we got to the park was go to see Ariel. An employee who works with the characters told us that we better go first thing or the wait would be over an hour and a half. Well we knew we HAD to see Ariel because she's Mackenzie's FAVORITE princess! We even asked her if she wanted to wait a really long time to see Ariel as a mermaid and she said YES!! So being the good parents (or suckers) we are, we waited in line for almost an hour... Heather decided it wasn't worth it. (Don't blame her, if it wasn't Mackie's fave, we wouldn't have either!) Mackenzie was a good girl in line and well worth the wait to get to see her meeting Ariel!

The last day we FINALLY got cute pics of us with Mackenzie... separately go figure but hey we didn't care at that point. P.S. I'm not ashamed to admit that we bribed her with Skittles at 9:30 in the morning to get the pics!!! It was worth the cute pics!!

After that we repeated some stuff we had already done that the kids enjoyed. We saw Philharmagic again, and this time Mackenzie loved it! (Wonder if fever affected the first time... Hmmm...) She wore the 3D glasses and even reached out at some of the stuff! It was great to see her enjoy it the 2nd time around. The boys and the Rogers went to ride Splash Mountain but the girls couldn't ride, so we went and did our girl thing. We went and rode It's a Small World again, and Mackenzie of course loved that the 2nd time around! She called it the Happy Face Ride... I'm not totally sure why, but I think because there are several big suns in the ride with happy faces.

While we were still waiting on the boys we decided to go see how long the wait was to meet the princesses, yep you've got it, it was a LONG wait! One of the ladies that worked there told us that the best time to come was during the parade or fireworks so we decided to come back later in the afternoon. While we were killing time I bought Mackenzie her first pair of ears and even had her name put on them!! She wasn't impressed... didn't even really want to wear them. I even tried to get her to wear them...

Yep she popped the strap... didn't feel too good.

This day we had lunch with Tigger, Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore. But Mackenzie really wasn't impressed since she'd already seen Tigger and Pooh at breakfast. She was NOT in the mood by the time Piglet came by and we didn't get to see Eeyore. Oh well, we were charactered out by that point and a little frustrated from lunch. No biggie.

Then came one of the best parts!! Yep the PRINCESSES! They have a separate line you go in to meet Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), Cinderella, & Belle. I'm telling you those girls must have the most patience of anybody I've ever seen... they were on the floor talking to the girls and asking questions, and signing their books. And best of all taking pictures! It was great to see them meeting the princesses for the first time and how excited they were!

The Vaclaws decided to go meet the Rogers in Epcot, but there was still some stuff we wanted to do in Magic Kingdom so we hung around for a while longer. Since the parade was still going on we decided to go see how long the wait was to meet Mickey. It only took us 10 minutes!!! And we got a surprise too!! Minnie was in there too!! Mackenzie got to meet both Mickey & Minnie all by herself, and hug them and give them kisses and have her picture taken, no rush from other kiddos or because we were in the way at the restaurant. She LOVED IT!!
The last thing we did before we left Magic Kingdom for dinner was take Mackenzie to ride the teacups... I wasn't sure how it would go, but you can't go to Disneyworld and NOT ride the teacups!!! Well I was so thrilled! SHE LOVED THE TEACUPS!! She had so much fun the first time that she about had a meltdown when we had to get off. We immediately got back in line to ride them again. Yep, she had even more fun, and an even LARGER meltdown when we wouldn't ride a third time... I would have thrown up! Ha! Here are some of the many pics I have of her loving the teacups!
