Crazy Day!!

This week is Red Ribbon week at Mackenzie's school. So they've got an anti drug theme everyday to reinforce the overall message of the week.

Yesterday was CRAZY day... and any of Mackenzie's normal clothes would be considered crazy, I mean come on she dresses like Punky Brewster, but of course that wouldn't work! So here's what we ended up with...

Different polka dotted soccer socks, mismatched shoes, a striped shirt, and a tutu!!

Surprise!! The soccer socks are pulled up all the way to the plaid shorts hiding underneath!!

CRAZY HAIR!!! 3 pigtails!!

Talk about a shocker!

Check out what my little big boy wanted to do tonight!

I told him I had to go tee tee and he took off! I followed him and thought he was just going to my bathroom, but nope, he went into what will be the kids bathroom backed up to the toilet and pulled up his shirt! I was shocked but knew what it meant... I pulled his shorts down, took off his diaper and held him on the big potty. His face lit up and he grinned from ear to ear!! He looked like he was even "concentrating"! Ha! When he "finished" I went and got the little potty and seat for the big potty just so we had them for the next time he was interested. Well the next time was then! He wanted to sit on the little potty but kind of fussed until I pulled his shorts down and took off his diaper again! Then he grinned from ear to ear!!

I've always heard boys are harder to potty train and I have no grand hopes that he'll be potty trained tomorrow but it definitely was encouraging to see some excitement! Because trust me... There are many many many temper meltdowns to come during the potty training process!

Boy potty training... Ugh! Brian?? Where are you???

Mr Potato Head

Mackenzie has always loved Mr and Mrs Potato Head, but Dylans' recent obsession with Toy Story has made him being to love them too!! I caught this sweet moment of my kids playing together with their Potato Heads last weekend. Just blessed my heart to see these sweet moments!

What's my sissy doing??

Building his Potato Head. He loves to put the wrong parts in the wrong spots, he thinks its so funny! I think here he's checking out the parts in Mr Potato Heads hiney!

A Week and a Half in the Life of Dylan (courtesy of iPhone pics)

Bitten on the face.

Early stages of allergic reaction to a mosquito bite above his left eye.

After nap. And before a trip to the dr's office just to be safe since it was his eye.

Looking not as Frankensteiny the next afternoon.

He almost has two normal eyes!!

This is how he rolls!

Heard a noise and went to find he had discovered his new booster seat (thanks Wanda!) and climbed up in it!

He LOVES his new pj's from Mimi and Papa Keith! He's OBSESSED with Toy Story!

Does he look hungry to you??

Eating breakfast on a stool like the big kids!

Sleeping like the big kids Day 2!

My precious big boy!

Life is tough when you get yourself stuck!!

Poor boy had a cow today when another kiddo was picked up in a car like mine!!

As you can see, life is never boring in his world!! :) Love my little boyfriend!!!

I just thought it was "Crazy"...

I just thought life was crazy before... I knew it could and would get crazier. But until you're in it you don't realize how much crazier.

Kindergarten
Homework
Soccer
Gymnastics
High School Football games
Campfire
Mini Cheer Clinic
Helping with Awanas again
1 1/2 yr old with an adult sized temper and stubbornness (and a sweet heart!)

Oh and I haven't even mention the normal things that have to be done like:

Work
Cooking
Cleaning
Laundry
Chauffeuring
Sleeping
Grocery Shopping

And of course it will only get crazier when Dylan joins the rotation of activities! For now I'm wondering how we're going to handle our one set of activities much less adding another set. But I think it'll be just like this craziness... We'll make it work like we always do in Crazy Kennebeck Land!

One thing is for sure... We are blessed beyond measure by our Heavenly Father to have these crazy kids to chase around! We would change it for anything!!

Sad Little Animal!

Last week Dylan got bit right above his eye by a mosquito. Bad thing for him is that he's allergic to mosquito bites, so by mid-day on Monday his eye was almost swollen shut! Poor little boy!! He was back to normal by Thursday, but everytime I looked at him, it just broke my heart!

Mini Cheer Clinic

Last week Mackenzie got to be a part of our local Varsity Mini Cheer Clinic. She was in heaven!! Not only did she get to be a real cheerleader but she ended up getting to be in the group of her favorite cheerleader in the world! Mackenzie LOVES Hailey to death! Every game we go to, I tell Mackenzie, Hailey can't see you or wave right now but we'll go down and see her cheer in a little bit. Everytime Hailey sees her and makes a liar out of me! Last week she saw us at almost the top row, and waved back to Mackenzie!!
