Day 1 - Magic Kingdom

Well let's just say, day one was interesting... It was a blast but go figure on our first day at Disneyworld Mackenzie woke up with a fever and was foul (that's an understatement...) until lunchtime!! Oh yeah did I forget to mention that Mackie was morally opposed to having her picture taken all week long! Kind of a bummer, but oh well. (Brian decided to contribute his comments... "She's just like her Daddy") Of course first off we wanted a pic in front of the castle. Wish she would have smiled with us... Oh well!

We started off the day by riding some kiddo rides, Tigger and Pooh, Peter Pan, It's a Small World, and Dumbo. Mackie HATED DUMBO!! (Sure it had NOTHING to do with her fever...) We also saw Philharmagic, which was this cool 3D show complete with glasses... she was more impressed the 2nd time around with it though.

We stopped and met our friends the Rogers at the Pooh Playground and the kiddos had fun, but Mackie walked around like she was in a trance... again I'm sure not the fever!

Snuggling with Daddy after the trauma that was Dumbo. (And Mommy trying to get a picture

We happened on the show at the castle about mid-afternoon and the kids were engrossed! I remember seeing this show 5 yrs ago when we went with Brian's family, and thought Mackie would enjoy it.

We started seeing characters the first day, but she was not impressed! Pinnochio, Gippeto (sp?), Fairy Godmother... I was worried she wouldn't like any of them but by the time she got used to them we were seeing her faves! She was always happy to give them her autograph book to sign, but not always about taking pics with them.

She crashed about mid-afternoon one of the boring things we rode... Carousel of the Future or something like that. Hey I would have ridden it every day if she fell asleep. Ha!

Love this pic, even though she wouldn't look. The "background" is AWESOME!

One of the many really cool shrub/bush sculptures!

Mackenzie and Rylee LOVED playing on the chains that seemed to be everywhere! They even giggled when they smacked themselves or each other in the face.

I think the chains saved us numerous times. It was their entertainment! Go figure....we get them cool disney stuff and all they want to do is play with germ filled chains!
